LEOMINSTER, Mass. — Two people, including a juvenile, were hospitalized after a shooting near Twin City Mall on Saturday night.
Leominster police said officers responded to the area of 975 Merriam Avenue at about 10:41 p.m. When they arrived, they found a male juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. He was airlifted by Life Flight to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, where he is expected to survive.
During the investigation, police discovered that an adult male had also been shot. He was taken by ambulance to UMass Memorial Hospital, and his injuries are also considered non-life-threatening.
Investigation Ongoing
The Leominster Police Department confirmed that the shooting remains under active investigation. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident.
