Worcester Brothers Arrested on Firearm and Drug Charges After Citywide Chase and SWAT Raid

WORCESTER, MA — Two Worcester brothers are facing a long list of firearm and drug charges after a police chase, assault on an officer, and a SWAT-led search uncovered weapons, ammunition, and narcotics, authorities said.

According to the Worcester Police Department, the arrests stemmed from an investigation involving the department’s Crime Gun Unit and Gang Unit, who were seeking Jeremiah Horne, 25, on an active warrant.

During surveillance on Hitchcock Road, detectives saw Isaiah Horne, 27, leave a residence and drive off in a black BMW SUV. Officers attempted to stop him on Woodland Street for multiple traffic violations, but police say Isaiah refused to exit his vehicle and sped away, striking a detective in the process. The officer was not injured.

The chase continued across the city with assistance from uniformed Worcester officers and Massachusetts State Police troopers. Isaiah ultimately returned to the Hitchcock Road residence, where he surrendered after police established a perimeter.

Police then executed a search warrant at the home. Inside, SWAT officers located Jeremiah and seized a cache of weapons-related materials, including:

  • Ammunition and firearm magazines

  • Polymer firearm frames without serial numbers

  • A conversion kit capable of altering a semi-automatic handgun into an automatic weapon

Officers also recovered 42 grams of cocaine and an undisclosed number of pills.

Both brothers now face extensive charges:

  • Jeremiah Horne: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2nd or Subsequent Offense), Trafficking in Class B Drugs, and additional firearms-related charges.

  • Isaiah Horne: Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Motor Vehicle), multiple traffic violations, and additional firearm and drug charges.

Both men are also charged with Possession of Ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card and Possession of an Untraceable Firearm, among other counts.

The Worcester Police Department confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
