Seasonably Warm Weather Holds Steady Before Weekend Changes

WORCESTER, MA. — The stretch of pleasant, late-summer weather isn’t over just yet. Sunshine and mild conditions will continue for the next couple of days, but a stronger system is on the horizon.

Friday will be the warmest day of the workweek, with afternoon highs climbing near 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies—a perfect setup for outdoor plans.

By Saturday, however, a cold front will push into the region, bringing a round of scattered showers and thunderstorms late in the day. Some of these storms could pack a punch, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the forecast if you have weekend activities.

Once the front clears, cooler air will settle in. Highs on Sunday will drop closer to 70 degrees, with nighttime lows dipping into the 40s and 50s—ushering in a more fall-like feel.
